During the visit, Xi held talks with Kim at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan held a welcoming banquet for Kim and his wife Ri Sol Ju and watched an art performance together.

  • In response to the US imposition of tariffs and investment restrictions, China plans to impose tariffs on US imports to offset its loss: MOFCOM. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced on March 23, it will impose tariffs on US imports worth $3 billion in a bid to offset its loss incurred by the US' decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
