  • Nepal-India Joint Commission meeting scheduled: Fifth meeting of Nepal-India Joint Commission is scheduled for the second week of December. Nepal’s withdrawal from BIMSTEC joint Military Exercise and India’s concerns on Eminent Persons’ Group on Nepal-India Relations, the two bitter issues would probably be discussed.
  • Nepal-China: Goodwill meeting: With China, goodwill meeting held between PM Oli and Luo Shugangin, a visiting Minister of Tourim and Cultural. PM Oli shared his thoughts on historic bilateral relations between the two countries and hoped further prosperity in bilateral relations.
  • Dealing trade-deficit with China: Nepal is working to lessen import-export gap with China. Recent participation of business community from Nepal in a recent China International Import Expo (CIIE), held in Shanghai was a step in this regard. Nepal show cased its products like carpets, metal crafts, pashmina, ceramics, coffee, and garments. In the last three months, Nepal imported goods worth over Rs 53 billion from China while exports stood at Rs 560 million.
  • World Bank Assistance sanctioned: The World Bank has provided a financial assistance worth 155.7 million dollars to Nepal mainly for two projects related to strategic road networks and food and nutrition enhancement.
