Syed Fraz Hussain Naqvi is acting as the Head of Iran Program at
Institute of Regional Studies, Islamabad. Mr. Naqvi is also pursuing his Ph.D. in
International Relations from SPIR, Quaid e Azam University, Islamabad.
He previously served at Army Institute of Military History (AIMH) as Civil Research
Assistant and Regional Rapport as Research Associate. As the head of Iran Program in IRS, Mr
Naqvi has cultivated research linkages with the scholars of Iran, United States, the United
Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, Russia, Australia, Belgium, Turkey, and Canada.
Mr. Naqvi is also a widely published author with over 3 dozens publications that include
research papers, essays and analytical pieces featuring both nationally and internationally
in The National Interest (US), Manara Magazine (US), Middle East Blog (LSE, UK), CCPS
(Taiwan), Voices on Peace and War (Norwich University, US), Melange Magazine and others. Mr.
Naqvi has also contributed a book chapter on Pak-China-Iran Tripartite Cooperation in the
edited book published by Tehran International Studies and Research Institute (TISRI).
Mr. Naqvi has travelled to Tehran and Moscow on official visits and participated as a
speaker in International Conferences. He was the youngest speaker in 3rd Tehran Dialogue
Forum (TDF) and one of only two Pakistani participants among over 200 presenters from around
the world in 4th International Conference on Peace and Conflict Resolution organized by
University of Tehran. He also represented Pakistan in Moscow in two separate conferences.
Mr. Naqvi regularly appears on national and international news channels including the PTV
World, Dawn News, Aaj News, VOA, BBC, IRNA amongst others, as an analyst and commentator.
